On Wednesday, November 10, 2015, Founder Anthony Miller spoke to Mayor Choi and the Irvine City Council members about the harsh realities that face homeless veterans in Orange County CA and how the Tender Touch Ministries unique “Boots On The Ground” approach is making a real difference. This is important as it is part of a greater effort to inform decision-makers and inspire cooperative relationships with cities in Orange County.
Special Thanks to Irvine City Councilwoman Christina Shea for the $500.00 donation and to Myrlene Chapman for making this possible!

Tender Touch Ministries is in need of a white van and truck to pick-up food, clothing, shoes, hygiene products and bibles from existing vendors and partners to distribute to the homeless. Please contact us if you have the ability to assist on this matter.
For over forty years, the goal at Veterans First has been to honor every brave man and woman who has served this country by helping restore dignity to those whose sacrifices defending the freedoms we cherish have left them in need.
Veterans First provides housing and essential services for Orange County’s homeless and at-risk veterans as well as services for families of at-risk vets and deployed military members.
Veterans First currently operates 10 permanent and transitional housing facilities at a capacity of 122 total beds for employable and disabled veterans within 3 Northern Orange County cities (Anaheim, Garden Grove and Santa Ana). Each home is staffed 24/7 with a house manager that can assist our clients with making sure that they are working towards a successful completion of our program. Each house is also staffed with a cook that provides nutritious meals to our clients. Additionally, Veterans First in the summer of 2011 began operating the county’s only transitional housing facility for unaccompanied homeless female veterans.
Tender Touch Ministries, as a community partner, attended the Irvine Global Village Festival with great success. We were able to meet and connect with wonderful people and other community partners, providing information and awareness about our unique services to help those in need.
Thousands of people attended the event, enjoying multi-cultural booths, food and entertainment.
Despite the blazing heat, we did our best to keep cool in the shade and were all smiles. We have an amazing team who love what they do. Thank you to the organizers who did a fantastic job of putting the event together.
